Convince Your Boss

Want to attend the CCTI Digital Engineering Conference but not sure how to bring it up with your boss? We’ve published a sample letter below to help make the process easier.

Dear {Manager’s Name},

I’d like to attend the upcoming CCTI Digital Engineering Conference taking place August 23-24, 2022, in Ogden, Utah. The conference is the first of its kind bringing together innovators and disrupters from small businesses, large industry, academia and government realms in the Digital Engineering Space with the goal to explore the latest research, build connections, and spark innovation to meet the Department of Defense’s current and future challenges.

During the event they are going to have several speakers who are at the leading edge of the Digital Engineering industry to include Gene Kim, IT Revolution and Clint Betts, President & CEO of Silicon Slopes. There will also be four concurrent track sessions providing interactive and engaging discussion and education focused on AI/ML, Software Factories, Cyber and Cloud and Modeling & Simulation. What’s more, there will be ample time to network with both the speakers, government representatives and others in our industry enabling me to build key relationships to advance our company.

Here’s how I envision my attendance at the CCTI Digital Engineering Conference strengthening our company:
  • The CCTI Digital Engineering Conference offers a variety of sessions, including presentations, interactive breakout sessions, and visionary keynotes from industry leaders. Attending these sessions will allow me to build my knowledge and learn from other community members on best practices within the digital engineering landscape.
  • The networking opportunities planned throughout the event will allow me to meet and engage the top technical minds in our ecosystem. I hope to meet others that might face the same challenges and problems I do so that we can work together to solve technical issues now and in the future. Creating strategic partnerships at the event could be very useful in the future when we encounter new challenges.

If I register before June 30, 2022, the fee is only $500. Included in the registration fee are access two days of keynotes and breakout sessions, access to the exhibit hall, breakfast, lunch and breaks. It also includes entrance to the all-attendee reception Tuesday night.

I would be happy to write a post-conference report detailing what I’ve learned and recommend any changes we can implement to improve our practices.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I hope we can make this opportunity work.

Best regards,
{Your Name}
